3 of Mr. Mawbey’s students, Reece Wright,
Danny Duggan, and Vicky Chantler entered this competition.
Reece entered the Point Sparring, put up a good show, but, unfortunately was illiminated in the first round.
Danny entered 3 events, he came 4th in the Patterns.In the Points Sparring, Danny put up a ”cracking” fight against Steve Cox, but, ultimately losing 8 / 5.
In the Continuous Sparring he won SILVER having had an exhausting match to get to the final, He narrowly missed out on the Gold medal, the balance of the match being turned in the last 30 seconds.
Vicky entered the Ladies Continuous, did brilliantly winning her first round comfortably, and then again going on to having another “cracking” match to win GOLD.
Absolutely brilliant.

I.M.A. COMPETITION 25th February 2007
Adwick Le Street, Doncaster.
Mr. Ainley took a group of 14 students from his, Kimberworth, Chapletown, and Grenoside Schools, together with Danny Duggan from the Wickersley School to the I.M.A.Championships at Doncaster.
A total of 17 trophies were won, 6 Gold, 6 Silver, and 5 Bronze. An excellent result.
